If you have an interest in climbing, but don’t know were to start, we can help.  The BRC offers numerous courses for both beginner and intermediate level climbers.  We employ guides and instructors who are highly skilled and excited to work with individuals.

Climbing is a great activity and way to stay fit. You can increase endurance, muscular strength and mental focus.  The climbing community can be a great place to meet others with similar interests but it’s also an individual sport which allows you to grow at your own pace. Our courses cater to individual’s needs and are taught in a highly supportive group environment.

  • Belay Basics – Learn how to tie into your harness and how to belay
  • Climbing Technique – Bring your skills to the next level
  • Learn to Lead – Take advantage of all our climbing terrain
  • 2 New Courses-  Prepare to take your climbing outside! 
    Sport Anchor Course If you’ve been Leading indoors and now want to start climbing outdoors, this class will teach you how to do so safely. Learn different ways to set up a sport anchor, the climbing equipment needed to build it, how to recognize good from bad bolts and how to clean a sport anchor safely.  
    Classes: 2 consecutive Thursdays 7-9pm

Rappelling 101 Course If you’ve been climbing indoors (top rope or lead) and want to learn how to rapel for your outdoor adventures, this class will teach you how to do so safely. Learn safety and techniques for rappelling, types of rappelling devices and basic physics of rappelling and why it works.
Classes: 2 consecutive Mondays 7-9pm
